This week for form we also we designing a poster. I was online looking at different types of posters and I came across this one web site about posters based on design. I really enjoyed looking at them so hope you take a look. http://designwashere.com/50-excellent-posters-about-design/
For my companion book poster I decided to base it off my book when it came to the different colored squares. I wanted the text to be more simple so I just used an axial system. Here's what I ended up with.
As always, my granddad likes to email me links on new interesting things he comes across including artists. Robert Duncan is a painter who's paintings are so realistic it's shocking. Thought I'd share!
For the letter project I had P. Because I have to fit myself into the stem I made it a little bit wider than normal. It took a while to make but when I was finished it was so fun walking around inside!
For the grid poster I chose the band Creed. I decided to use one of the pictures I took over spring break. The way the trees stood out against the light interested me. To create a feel more directed toward the band's music I made the image black and white and changed the levels. Here's what I ended up with.
Over the break for form we were supposed to start our project on making a narrative book from pictures we took of a place or thing. I chose a park near my house. When it came time to make our grid poster I chose the band Creed. I thought back about some of the pictures I took at the park and liked the way the sun shown against the trees and the texture it created. I decided to use these a background for my poster.
